Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) Job Description

Join TITAN’s team as a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) and take the lead in implementing safety requirements and policies on active project sites. As a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO), you will be responsible for direct oversight of documentation and the workflow process’s physical inspection phases. You’ll collaborate closely with in-house personnel, including project managers, quality control managers, superintendents, and external stakeholders, to ensure each job site remains compliant with all applicable safety regulations. Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct personnel and equipment inspections daily
Conduct safety orientations and meetings with personnel at the jobsite
Conduct mishap investigations
Maintain applicable safety reference material at the jobsite
Attend pre-construction conference, pre- work meetings, and three phase inspection meetings
Implement and enforce APP, AHAs and EM 385-1-1
Ensure subcontractor compliance of safety requirements
Remove personnel not wearing proper PPE or are a safety risk.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends maybe required
