Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Create, update, and maintain the submittal log and quality control reports. Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project specs, using team expertise when needed. Lead weekly QC meetings, document discussions, and distribute minutes per contract requirements. Submit daily QC reports highlighting conformance and addressing non-compliance. Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings for each definable feature of work. Ensure materials meet approved submittals, are properly stored, and installed as required. Hold pre-construction meetings with subcontractors and the superintendent at least two days before each new work phase. Coordinate and document all testing and commissioning activities. Keep as-built drawings updated daily. Compile closeout documents, including O&M manuals, as-builts, and warranties. Stop work when necessary to address safety, quality, or work progress issues.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Certifications:

Experience working on USACE construction projects as a QC manager on USACE construction projects. Current USACE “Construction Quality Management for Contractors” Certification. Must be able to pass DoD security clearance for base access. Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques. Proficiency with RMS 3.0, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrate a professional demeanor Valid driver’s license with good motor vehicle record.
