Project Highlights

• Scope of Work: Maintenance dredging of shoaled areas in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) and Venice Inlet, with material placement in a beach disposal area south of the inlet.
• Dredging Depths: Required depths of 9 feet MLLW with 2 feet allowable over depth and 7 feet MLLW with 1 foot allowable over depth.
• Material Quality: Beach-quality sand is used for disposal and nourishment.
• Incidental Work: Included turbidity monitoring, environmental species monitoring, vibration monitoring, and beach fill quality control.
