Project Description: Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Facilities at Tyndall Air Force Base
On May 26, 2022, the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, awarded a $32,835,264 contract (W9127822C0020) to PACWEST-KORTE JV for a two-phase design-build project. This initiative will enhance morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR) facilities at Tyndall Air Force Base in Bay County, Florida, creating a consolidated sports complex and water recreation area.
Scope of Work
1. Sports Complex Development
The project includes a new sports complex designed to consolidate existing recreational activities, improving accessibility and functionality. Key features include:
- Ballfield Support Facility
- Three Softball Fields
- One Youth Baseball Field
- Playground
- Roads, Parking Areas, and Associated Utilities
2. Pool and Recreation Facilities
The water recreation area will deliver a comprehensive outdoor aquatic experience. Key features include:
- Outdoor Pool
- Two Splash Pads
- Bath House Facility
- Pump House Facility
- Roads, Parking Areas, and Associated Utilities
