Electrical System Upgrades and Installations Overview

TITAN Consultants is involved in a comprehensive project that includes significant upgrades and installations within the electrical systems of a facility. The scope of work encompasses:

1. Furnish and Install Parallel Transformer and Ext. SWG:

• This involves procuring and installing a parallel transformer and external switchgear (SWG). These components are critical for distributing electrical power efficiently and ensuring redundancy in case of primary system failures.

2. Parallel SWG and Feeders:

• Installing parallel switchgear (SWG) and associated feeders to enhance the facility’s electrical distribution capabilities. This setup improves reliability and provides flexibility in managing power distribution across different parts of the facility.

3. Replace Relay Protection System:

• Upgrading the relay protection system to modern standards. This system is essential for detecting and isolating electrical faults swiftly to prevent equipment damage and ensure personnel safety

4. Replace Unit Substations:

• Removing and replacing unit substations to improve efficiency and reliability. Unit substations are crucial in stepping down voltage levels and distributing power within specific areas or zones of the facility.

5. Replace MCC-A, MCC-B, and MCC-D:

• Upgrading and replacing Motor Control Centers (MCCs) A, B, and D. MCCs are essential for controlling and distributing power to motors and other electrical devices throughout the facility, ensuring smooth operation and safety.

6. Install TVSS Hospital Substations:

• Installing Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSS) in hospital substations. TVSS devices protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage spikes and surges, which are crucial for maintaining uninterrupted operations in critical healthcare environments.

7. Repair Auto Tap Changer:

• Conducting repairs on the automatic tap changer. This component automatically regulates the voltage output of transformers, ensuring consistent voltage levels and optimal performance of electrical equipment.

SSH Safety Oversight:

• TITAN Consultants provided a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for the project. The SSHO oversees safety protocols and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel involved.

This project aims to modernize and enhance the facility’s electrical infrastructure, improving reliability, efficiency, and safety across all operational areas.
