USVI ROOFING REPAIR
ST. CROIX, USVI W912EP-18-C-0031

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The scope of work for this project involves the comprehensive design and construction necessary to repair and enhance various Virgin Island National Guard (VING) facilities. The facilities in question primarily consist of single-story warehouse buildings, each covering an area ranging from approximately 45,000 to 50,000 square feet. This extensive project will encompass all necessary engineering design, analysis, and construction efforts to address and rectify structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical issues within fourteen designated VING buildings.

Critical aspects of the work include:

  1. Demolition and Disposal:

    • Safe and lawful demolition of existing structures and components.
    • Proper disposal of all demolition debris by environmental regulations.
  2. Roofing System Replacement:

    • Remove existing standing metal and modify bitumen roofing systems.
    • Install new, durable roofing systems designed to withstand local environmental conditions.
    • To ensure effective water management and prevent leaks, roof flashings, vents, drains, gutters, and downspouts must be replaced and enhanced.
  1. Doors and Windows:

    • Replacement of overhead doors, hangar doors, and man-doors to enhance security and functionality.
    • Install new, energy-efficient windows to improve natural lighting and thermal performance.
  2. Interior and Exterior Renovations:

    • Comprehensive renovation of interior spaces to meet current operational requirements and standards.
    • Exterior repairs and upgrades to improve the aesthetic appeal and durability of the buildings.
  3. HVAC and Plumbing Systems:

    • We are upgrading and replacing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure optimal indoor climate control.
    • We are modernizing plumbing systems to enhance water supply and waste management efficiency.
  4. Electrical Systems:

    • Comprehensive overhaul of electrical systems to meet current safety standards and operational needs.
    • Installation of energy-efficient lighting and power systems to reduce operational costs.
  5. Fire Alarm Systems:

    • Implement state-of-the-art fire alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of personnel and assets.
    • Integration of fire detection and suppression systems for enhanced emergency response capabilities.
  6. Additional Activities:

    • Execution of other associated construction and repair activities as required to complete the project to the highest quality and safety standards.
    • Coordination with VING representatives to minimize disruptions to ongoing operations and ensure timely project completion.

Overall, this project aims to significantly improve the VING facilities’ functionality, safety, and efficiency through meticulous planning, design, and execution of all necessary repairs and upgrades.
