The existing range at Offutt Air Force Base is being completely demolished and replaced with a new, state-of-the-art facility. This project includes the construction of a new impact berm, target berm, and Butt, side safety berm, and a new firing range featuring paved firing lines, roads, an irrigation system, signage, and more.
The new facilities will include:
- A 111-square-foot Butts Control Building.
- Two 1,436-square-foot Target Storage Buildings.
- Two 347 square foot restrooms (one each for males and females) at the Butt.
- There are two large restrooms (1,411 square feet each) for males and females at the 300-yard line.
Additional site improvements comprise:
- A 66-space parking lot.
- Perimeter access roads.
- New water supply system.
- A new sanitary sewer system, including a small sewage lift station, is needed.
- Stormwater collection and management systems.
- New power and communications distribution systems.
Allowances have been made for ordinance scanning of the entire site and potential ordinance removals, ensuring the safety and security of the project area.
Titan provided a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and preconstruction plans for this project, ensuring that all safety protocols and preparatory measures were meticulously planned and executed.
This comprehensive project enhances the firing range’s functionality and safety and supports Offutt Air Force Base’s broader infrastructure needs, contributing to its personnel’s overall mission readiness and quality of life.
