BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Titan Consultants provided an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) in support of Balfour Beatty for a federal construction project at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Quantico, Virginia. From the outset, our QCM helped ensure the project met NAVFAC standards, contract requirements, and all applicable building codes. By maintaining a proactive approach to quality management, Titan supported efficient project execution while helping reduce rework and maintain compliance throughout construction.
Throughout the project, our Quality Control Manager implemented the federal Three-Phase Quality Control System to verify that every phase of construction met project requirements. Preparatory inspections confirmed that materials, equipment, and work plans were ready before construction began. Next, initial inspections verified that work complied with project specifications. Finally, follow-up inspections ensured quality standards remained consistent until each activity was complete.
Additionally, our QCM reviewed submittals, coordinated material testing and inspections, maintained daily quality control reports, and documented project activities. Regular field inspections helped identify deficiencies early, allowing corrective actions to be completed before they affected project quality or schedule. As a result, the project maintained consistent quality, accurate documentation, and compliance with federal construction standards.
Marine Corps Base Quantico is one of the nation’s premier military installations. Therefore, construction projects on the installation require strict quality management, detailed documentation, and close coordination among government representatives, contractors, and subcontractors. Every phase of construction must meet rigorous NAVFAC requirements and federal quality standards while supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
Furthermore, Titan Consultants’ Quality Control Manager provided daily oversight to help ensure construction activities met contract requirements and project specifications. Our QCM coordinated inspections, verified material compliance, maintained quality documentation, and worked closely with the Government Quality Assurance Representative, project managers, and subcontractors throughout construction.
