Navy Gateway Inn – SSHO Support for Safe and Secure Federal Lodging Construction

Titan Consultants played a key role in the successful completion of the NAVY GATEWAY INN by providing a dedicated Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) throughout the project. This state-of-the-art lodging facility includes approximately 400 guest rooms, covering 171,200 gross square feet (GSF). Designed to accommodate military personnel, the facility features common public guest services such as public restrooms, a fitness room, guest laundry, and administrative spaces including offices and a conference/training room.

As the SSHO, Titan Consultants ensured strict compliance with EM 385-1-1 safety standards. We conducted daily safety inspections on site. Our team implemented job hazard analyses to proactively address potential risks. We also maintained clear communication with all stakeholders. These efforts helped ensure a consistently safe work environment.

The project also included the installation of mechanical systems (HVAC) and plumbing. Fire protection systems were integrated throughout the facility. IT infrastructure and elevators were installed to support modern operations. Additionally, the project incorporated AT/FP measures, including progressive collapse resistance.
