CONVERT STEAM PRESSURE
FORT HOOD, TX W91251-19-C-0034

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

This project’s scope involves a comprehensive upgrade of the heating system, focusing on removing and replacing key components to enhance efficiency, reliability, and control. The project includes the following key activities:

  1. Removal and Replacement of Existing Steam Boilers with New Condensing Boilers:

    • Decommissioning and safely removing the existing steam boilers.
    • High-efficiency condensing boilers should be installed to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
    • Ensuring proper integration with the existing heating infrastructure.
  2. Replacement of Existing Pumps with New Heating Water Pumps:

    • Removing outdated pumps that are part of the current heating system.
    • Installing modern, energy-efficient heating water pumps to enhance circulation and system performance.
    • Ensuring optimal compatibility with the new condensing boilers and other system components.

3. Replacement of Steam Coils in Existing Air Handling Units (AHUs) with New Heating Water Coils:

  • I am removing the existing steam coils from the air handling units.
  • I am installing new heating water coils to improve efficiency and system responsiveness.
  • I adjusted the AHUs to ensure seamless operation with the new heating water coils.

4. Installation of New Electrical Hookups and Controls for Replaced Equipment:

  • We provide new electrical connections for the condensing boilers, heating water pumps, and heating water coils.
  • We are installing advanced control systems to optimize the operation and monitoring of the new equipment.
  • They are ensuring that all electrical installations comply with safety standards and regulations.

Service Activities Include:

  • System Decommissioning involves safely shutting down and removing existing steam boilers and pumps, as well as properly disposing of outdated equipment.
  • Equipment Installation: Setting up new condensing boilers, heating water pumps, and heating water coils, ensuring proper alignment and integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Electrical Work: Running new electrical lines, connecting the latest equipment, and installing control panels and systems to manage the new heating setup.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough tests to ensure all new equipment operates correctly and efficiently, followed by a comprehensive commissioning process to verify system performance.
  • Training and Documentation: Training maintenance personnel on the operation and upkeep of the new system, along with detailed documentation and manuals for future reference.

Goals and Objectives:

  • Energy Efficiency: Significant improvements in energy efficiency are achieved through condensing boilers and modern heating water pumps.
  • Reliability: Enhancing the reliability and longevity of the heating system by replacing outdated components with new, high-quality equipment.
  • Control and Monitoring: Implementing advanced control systems to allow for precise management and monitoring of the heating system, leading to better performance and easier maintenance.
  • Compliance and Safety: We ensure that all new installations meet current safety standards and regulations, providing a safe and compliant heating solution.

By undertaking these activities, the project aims to create a more efficient, reliable, and controllable heating system, ultimately improving the overall performance and sustainability of the facility’s heating infrastructure.
